Trave - Bert Frank

Available as either a pendant, table or wall light, the Trave collection speaks of glamour and refinement. Its two-tier shade evokes the allure of the Art Deco period, with references to the aesthetic that was popularised during the 'Golden Age of Travel'. Its smooth, rounded form works together to create lighting options that offer an attractive and timeless aesthetic.

The addition of marble, both Green Guatemalan and White Carrera, brings an opulent touch - while producing a light that is soft and ambient. Reeded, fluted brass stems on the pendant and table lamp versions highlight Trave's excellent proportions.

Rift - Bert Frank

Rift embodies the careful balance between simplicity and glamour. Available as a wall light and pendant, it offers an understated lighting solution that still makes a stunning visual impact.

Spate - Bert Frank

Spate successfully combines the very latest technology with elegant forms and rounded shapes. Available as a pendant, wall sconce and a table lamp, Spate maintains Bert Frankʼs continued homage to Art Deco style.

The marble spheres act as a robust tonal counter balance to the soft satin brass found on the metalwork and the opal stepped glass shade. The glass shade - acid etched for a delicate, even glow – combines cutting-edge technology with luxurious styling. Instead of traditional lamps, LED lighting strips are used in Spate – emitting light in every direction and therefore resulting in better light distribution. LED strips are also more energy efficient and last longer than traditional lamps. Furthermore, Spate is available with Bluetooth dimming capabilities, helping to ensure a future-proof design as more of us seek to include ʻsmartʼ technologies into our homes.

Wink - Houtique

The collaboration between Masquespacio and Houtique started when the founders of both companies came together with the aim to study new projects to work on together. The result of this meeting is a new collection of furniture and the 'Wink' lamp.

Ana Hernández, main designer and creative director of Masquespacio, designed this product through her belief that the observation is one of the key factors to create and develop innovative designs. Her obsession to see, study and know every detail of each inspiration source takes part of her daily creative processes and as a consequence it has been the main inspiration of the 'Wink' lamp.

Showcased at Maison et Objet, Wink is composed of different elements that remind us of the past and the future winking to the use of bangs, gold and the observation.

Magma - Pulpo

On show at Maison et Objet, Magma is all about contrast. Smooth against rough. Light against dark. Angled lines against soft curves. Much like its namesake, the Magma series of table lamps appear as if they have emerged from deep within the earth’s centre, topped with a light touch of illumination.

French designer Ferréol Babin has brought his signature hands-on approach to a sculptural series of table lamps. The ceramic base of every Magma lamp is liberally applied with fat lava glaze, each piece reacting differently during the firing process. The result is a textured piece of raw earth, strong and stable. Delicately sitting on top, a handblown glass form appears to almost float.

The warm illumination highlights the curved glass form and provides a visual counterpoint to the angular base below. Available in a high or low version, with a vertical or horizontal oblong shaped glass globe, the Magma series expresses a simple sculptural quality. Further personalise your tablescape companion with the option of a white or black fat lava glazed ceramic base, or a frosted white or smoked handblown glass globe.

Casual Ristorante, Italy

Catellani & Smith lighting products illuminate the new ‘Casual Ristorante’ of Enrico Bartolini, the internationally renowned Michelin-starred chef.

The restaurant, that opened last April, is situated at the foot of the panoramic hill of San Vigilio in Bergamo Alta. It has two large rooms and a smaller room that offers more privacy, complemented by a roof garden for use during good weather. The wide windows along the wall of the main room offer a nice view of the funicular railway, whose coaches take visitors to the highest part of the city.

Catellani & Smith developed a lighting design that creates a balance between light and shadows, and matches perfectly with the natural material interior. The interplay between different visual elements creates a cozy atmosphere that welcomes guests, who can taste the ‘contemporary classic’ cuisine created by chef Bartolini.

The lights selected are design lamps, that create a unique atmosphere in the restaurant. These include the Lederam collection lamps in gold and white version; the elegant Jackie O Chandelier with its cascade of pendants that release a touch of magic; the splendid floor lamp PK Led 100, whose shade is inner lined with gold coloured leaf; a Wa Wa floor lamp, and the Atman ‘jewel-like’ table lamps, whose LED light source casts unexpected shapes of light through an oval crystal.
