Decorex changes venue for 2019

September 14, 2018

(UK) – Decorex International, will move to Olympia London for 2019, returning to its high-end roots at the heart of West Kensington.

Following a successful four-year run at Syon Park, the date of Decorex will also shift to the 6-9 October, coinciding with PAD and Frieze Art Fair to form a breadth of cultural experience, decoration and contemporary art and design.

Situated minutes from the new Design Museum and the V&A, the move enables Decorex to align itself with an affluent area that’s fast-becoming London’s go-to design and culture district.

Olympia London is currently undergoing the biggest regeneration in its 130-year history. Led by Thomas Heatherwick Studio in collaboration with SPPARC Architects, the £700m overhaul is set to transform the venue into a creative, cultural hub and London landmark. For Decorex, that means more space to develop exciting new features for 2019 and beyond that will ensure a richer, bolder show experience.

Sam Fisher, Decorex International brand manager, says: “Steeped in history and at the epicentre of Kensington’s prestigious art and design district, the move to Olympia will see us continue to define luxury interior design, presenting the most established brands and best up-and-coming names across the spectrum of design and making.

“For 2019 we are significantly investing in an enhanced curatorial programme and exhibition design, ensuring the experience of our newly located show continues to lead the charge. We will begin to announce more detail about our plans in the coming months.”
