(UK) – 2LG Studio and Cameron Design House collaborates on new Capsule lighting range.
The latest addition to CDH’s range of sculptural lighting, Capsule includes three unique designs created in collaboration with 2LG Studio.
With a shared passion for lighting’s unique ability to transform the atmosphere of any space, the three Capsule designs – Alas, Keski and Saldo take inspiration from classic strip lighting.
Suited to hospitality and residential environments, Capsule has been crafted for the design duo’s kitchen and studio renovation and aims to create something that is both familiar and entirely innovative in its final form.
“The challenge was to take the classic strip light and re-imagine it in a contemporary context,” said Jordan and Russell, 2LG Studio. “We love to disrupt the norm and wanted to do just that with our Victorian property. The lights are a key part of that for us. Bringing an ultra modern edge to the period architecture. Making strip lights sexy.”
Each light is created in a pill shape that combines the meticulous craftsmanship of CDH with a playful approach to luxury lighting. Available in four colour options: tropical green, flamingo pink and electric powder coated paints, as well as brushed brass – the Capsule collection crafts a contemporary statement of practicality and collaboration.
“Collaboration pushes the boundaries of design,” says Ian Cameron, Creative Director of Cameron Design House. “When we met 2LG at Milan Design Week last year and got on like a house on fire, we knew that we would create something beautiful together – resulting in the Capsule collection! The Capsule collection epitomises design meeting practicality.”
