Organisers of contemporary design and culture event designjunction have revealed plans for a new show dedicated entirely to high-end decorative lighting.
lightjunction will form part of the third annual designjunction event, due to be held at London’s Sorting Office in September during London Design Festival. It will offer a carefully curated showcase of leading international lighting brands offering lighting designs from across the globe.
designjunction has teamed up with Cameron Peters Fine Lighting, UK based experts in specifying decorative lighting, to launch the new venture, which will see part of the Sorting Office transformed into a series of interactive Flash Factories, where the processes of industrial production will be brought to life through live demonstrations, from 3D printing to authentic craft making.
London-based architecture duo VoonWong+BensonSaw (VW+BS) will design a new seminar theatre for the event, providing the backdrop for live debates and panel discussions, while each floor will be themed using an array of bathroom products from key brands including Alessi and Kartel.
The third edition of designjunction will commence on the 18th of September, featuring a strong line-up of international brands, smaller cutting-edge labels, pop-up shops, restaurants and large-scale installations.
