(UK) – The darc team present #darcthoughts: lighting interiors at Clerkenwell Design Week, London

darc’s Editor Helen Ankers will be discussing the importance of decorative lighting in interior design and architecture with a panel of industry experts, who will consider why lighting should be one of the first considerations when working on a project, whether commercial or residential.

The talk takes place at LIGHT, Thursday 24 May at 11.45am and will feature Jo Littlefair, Paul Nulty and Jennifer Pakuls.

Jo Littlefair is Director and Co-founder of luxury interiors studio Goddard Littlefair. A designer-at-large, she draws inspiration from her travels and passion for new and exciting experiences. Jo’s curious, observant nature sees her seek evolutions in consumer, industry and design trends, looking for new ways to innovate and rise to challenges, while locating the best cutting-edge products and finishes, ensuring ongoing uniqueness.

Paul Nulty started his career within the lighting design industry eighteen years ago. In 2006 FX Magazine named him one of the top six young lighting designers to watch, and in May 2011 Paul proved them right by setting up Nulty. Paul is a prominent industry commentator and has appeared several times as an expert witness. He’s written many expert articles for industry magazines and presented seminars at a number of prominent events worldwide.

Since graduating from St. Martins eleven years ago, Jennifer Pakuls has spent her time specialising in lighting sculptures for public spaces and high-end residential properties. Fascinated by the transformative quality of light, the way it interacts with different materials and how it affects our experience of a space, she produces one off, large scale sculptures as Director of Sculpture + Collectables at Haberdashery.
