(UK) – This year’s Sleep Event set to host line-up of international exhibitors for hotel design and development community, including award-winning light installation from Preciosa.
This year’s Sleep story tells a ‘Wonder Tale’, exploring the wonder of storytelling in hospitality design. The tale begins at the show’s entrance with ‘Souls’, Peciosa’s ethereal lighting installation. Simple and graceful in form, Souls are created from Bohemian glass perfected with innovative designs evoking purity and mystery, harmony and gentleness. Produced in five shapes, Souls allows a variety of emotional and imaginative interior arrangements to be installed.
Further to this, Ingo Maurer is to make his UK debut at Sleep with the iconic JB Schmetterling and JB Butterfly light-bulb suspension luminaires embellished with delicate fluttering insects, which will also illuminate the Drink Me Bar designed by Conran + Partners.
Showcasing timeless Scandinavian design, Light Years will introduce a range of lamps that offer beautiful, yet functional illumination to the benefit of the user. LEDS-C4 will present a range of contemporary light solutions including its striking Big Ban and Vintage collections, while Spanish newcomer ALVE will introduce its custom service aimed at high-end bespoke projects. Contardi Lighting will also debut with highlights from its extensive catalogue.
Sleep returning favourites will be present, including Chelsom with a preview of standout pieces from its forthcoming 2016 collection; and Heathfield Lighting will reveal the latest designs from its Signature range of decorative lights.
Sleep is on November 24 and 25 at the Business Design Centre, London, UK, with a late opening until 8pm on Tuesday 24.
