Chelsom appoints new Joint Managing Director

(UK) - Will Chelsom has been promoted to Joint Managing Director of Chelsom.

During his eight years with Chelsom, Will Chelsom has made significant contributions to the continued growth of the company, developing new and existing client relationships while increasing sales and marketing efforts. Will Chelsom was responsible for leading the company’s recent rebrand in 2014.

Will Chelsom said: “Chelsom care greatly about what they do, putting customer satisfaction and excellent service levels above everything. I am really excited about what the future holds for Chelsom and I look forward to driving things on with my Father for many years to come.”

Current CEO Robert Chelsom commented on his sons involvement: “I am very proud that we are celebrating what has now become a fourth generation family business and William will be the fourth Managing Director in Chelsom’s history. I am thrilled that we will share the role of Joint Managing Director as we work extremely well together. I speak on behalf of everyone at Chelsom when I say Will’s promotion is a major asset to the company, one which will hopefully see us maintain our position at the forefront of this extremely challenging industry.”

Chelsom designs lighting collections entirely in-house, with Will heavily involved in product design for the upcoming collection as previewed recently at Decorex. He will now work closely with this father on designing future lighting collections for the company.

Lumino arrives in Lumino

(Europe) - The Lumino To Lumino team return from their charity cycle from the Lumino headquarters in Essex to the company's namesake in Lumino, Switzerland.

In nine days each rider cycled a total of 1,253 kilometres, climbed 10,523 meters and burned 48,000 calories. Lumino's achievement was only made possible thanks to the dedication and training by the riders and hundreds of hours of meticulous planning by our support team at Lumino.

There is still time to donate here: www.justgiving.com/Andrew-Small4. Any donation benefits another family in the world by providing GravityLight to those without access to electricity.

The Lumino To Lumino team also thanks its sponsors, whose support drove the team on to the end, and whose money donated will make an incredible difference to GravityLight Foundation and the people worldwide whose lives will benefit from the work this young charitable foundation are doing.

graypants inspirations

(Netherlands) - This August, graypants' team captains of the Seattle and Amsterdam studios met for a kayaking trip in British Columbia, Canada. Distancing themselves from cell phones and ongoing projects for four days, they discussed opportunities and possibilities that lie in graypants' future.

With such activities integral to its studios' creativity and mental clarity, it is easy to see these natural inspirations in graypants' designs. Newly released is the the Kerflight series, inspired by handcrafting techniques, precision built to accommodate any situation. Powder coated steel frames provide a distinct shape and character for each lamp, while the unique kerf pattern of the shade panels cast intriguing patterns onto walls and table surfaces.

Due to an ongoing amount of requests, the Oliv has re-emerged in graypants' classic scraplight collection. Lamped with one bulb (incandescent, compact fluorescent or LED), the Oliv Scraplight provides decorative lighting perfect for commercial and residential environments.

Graypants will be exhibiting their scraplights on stand L414 at 100% Design between September 23 - 26 at Olympia London.
