Michael Anastassiades’ lighting designs have become something of a cult classic within the design world. Helen Ankers sits down with the designer to further discuss his philosophy of producing exceptionally designed objects of permanent value and the importance of moving away from throwaway design.

Lightnet Group   is a well-established Lighting Manufacturer who have recently formed a UK company. We have been present in the UK market for over ten years and have developed  a good client base through our group of existing Distributors and provide a wide and flexible range of products to the industry  and  worked with world leading companies on projects of all sizes.

We are looking for experienced  Area Sales/Business Development Managers to  fill various roles in our architectural sales team.  Salary will be commensurate with experience.

The Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years sales experience  or that of a very closely related sector, have excellent communications skills and be self-driven and motivated.  Experience of Sales  into Architects and Electrical Consulting Engineers is a necessity with Sales experience into Lighting Designers, interior Designers, end Users and  Contractors is desirable.

You must have the ability to develop excellent relationships with designers and contractors and  take  business from  development to order.  Support will be given at all stages with internal sales, Lighting design and  After Sales support services to allow you to concentrate on  your core business.

You must also be professional  with excellent time keeping and the ability to follow up all leads and support our clients in a timely manner to fulfil their design.  You will be required to report to management on your  project quotes and effectively track all projects.  You must be computer literate and a knowledge of Dialux whilst not a necessity would be an advantage. A Full UK driving Licence is required.

SENIOR LIGHTING DESIGNER

The Flaming Beacon is an established industry leader in the lighting of boutique luxury hospitality
projects. We are currently looking for a driven and creative lighting designer to join our Berlin
Studio. If successful, you will be an important member of our team, helping to shape the way people
feel and experience architectural spaces for some of the world’s most exclusive hotels.

What you will do:

• Collaborate on projects with notable international architects and designers
• Manage exciting projects across a range of scales
• Join an office culture which provides a challenging and dynamic work environment for developing motivated lighting design professionals
• Travel for project-related meetings and site visits, to potentially any part of the world
• Research and investigate ideas in order to reach considered, conceptually sound and technically feasible design solutions

What we are looking for.

• You will have a minimum of 5+ years working experience in running hospitality and/or luxury high end projects in a senior capacity, and be able to manage small teams
• You will have relevant post graduate qualifications in lighting design
• You are highly motivated, hardworking and professional
• You possess strong organisational, interpersonal, and problem-resolution skills
• You are naturally curious, and passionate about continuous learning of how lighting can improve the way people feel in, and interact with, the built environment
• You are willing to learn and adopt company processes
• You are fluent in written and spoken English
• You are able to communicate ideas easily through technical hand sketching
• You are excited by the idea of being involved in the entire lighting design process, including; concept workshops, presentation material production, technical document production, site visits, attending to queries during construction phase, and completion visits.

Senior, Associate & Director Level Designers

Nulty is an award winning, independent architectural lighting design practice working in close collaboration with architects, designers, project managers and developers to provide creative and innovative lighting design consultancy.
